1. Scratch wear

The abrasion wear of the European version of the jaw crusher is due to the relative sliding between the hard jaw particles and the material, but the force between the two is small, and the hard jaw particles will not be broken, but only on the surface of the friction pair. Slight sliding, resulting in micro-scratches, the material has a small amount of metal loss in the form of abrasive debris.

2. Fragmentation wear

Fragmentary wear of hydraulic jaw crusher is due to the fact that the hard abrasive grains are subjected to a huge stress of the friction pair, exceeding the strength of the hard abrasive grains, the hard abrasive grains break, and cause the surface of the friction pair to be strained, plastic deformation, fatigue damage or Abrasion due to breakage, peeling, etc. occurs.

3. Chisel wear

The chisel wear of PE jaw crusher is mainly due to the high strength and sharp edges and corners of the jaw particles to be ground, coupled with the strong stress of the friction pair on it, resulting in high contact on the surface of the friction pair material Stress and impact make the surface of the material tear out large jaw particles or fragments, forming deep furrows or deep pits, as shown in the figure below.

During the use of the jaw crusher, it is subject to the huge impact and extrusion stress of the ore, and the surface is subjected to complex contact stress. The jaw plate will produce plastic deformation, metal rheology, brittle fracture, peeling, and continuous migration and loss of materials. Regular maintenance of the jaw crusher and replacement of jaw plates with better wear resistance play an important role in improving the service life of the jaw crusher.
