Taking into account the maintenance and parts replacement during the production process of the sand making machine, GBM has introduced a semi-automatic hydraulic system. Users only need to press a button to open the top cover of the machine to perform the following operations. Therefore, the system greatly saves labor costs and improves service efficiency.

According to the actual production situation, we found that spare parts such as outer guard plates and impact blocks are always seriously worn at certain points. Therefore, in order to avoid this phenomenon, SBM adopts a split structure in the design of wearing parts, which not only greatly prolongs the service life of wearing parts, but also greatly reduces its use cost.

VSI5X Sand Making Machine

Through systematic mechanical analysis and verification, GBM optimized the structure of the impeller and wearing parts. Compared with the traditional sand making machine, the VSI5X sand making machine significantly improves the material production and crushing ratio, and the work efficiency is increased by 30%-60%. The wear cost of wearing parts is reduced by more than 40%.

Working Principle

VSI5X vertical shaft impact crusher (also known as “sand making machine”) has two feeding methods – “center feeding” and “middle feeding”. For the former “center feed” mode, the material in the feed hopper first enters the high-speed spinning rotor through the center hole. In the rotor, the material is sufficiently accelerated and thrown outwards from the launch port, colliding with the material that falls freely after a partial rebound. Next, the material hits the surrounding vortex material lining (or impact block) within the vortex chamber together. In the crushing chamber, the material is first bounced to the top of the crushing chamber, and then changes direction and moves downward, forming a material curtain with the material discharged from the impeller runner. Finally, the finished product is discharged from the bottom outlet. For the latter method, “center side feeding”, first, the material in the feeding hopper passes through a circular hole. The material is then divided into two parts by the distribution tray. Part of the material enters the high-speed rotating impeller, and another part of the material falls from all sides of the tray. The material in the impeller will be rapidly accelerated and thrown outward at high speed, colliding with the material falling from all sides of the tray. Next, all of the material hits the surrounding vortex material lining (or impact block) in the vortex chamber together. In the crushing chamber, the material is first bounced to the top of the crushing chamber, and then changes direction and moves downward, forming a material curtain with the material discharged from the impeller runner. Finally, the finished product is discharged from the bottom outlet.
